When the instrument receives the Rinse command, it calculates the rinse time and switches the diverter valve. It rinses for a length of time depending on the pump flow; the rinse time is calculated so that about five times the volume of the diverter valve flows through the valve.
When started for all fraction or recovery collectors, the instrument rinses each collector sequentially. The procedure starts with the master module and continues in sequence until all fraction collectors have been rinsed for the specified time.
The Rinse procedure requires that your pump delivers a flow. Ensure that your pump is switched on and that a flow is specified before starting the Rinse procedure. For non-Agilent pumps, ensure that the specified flow matches the actual pump flow. |
