Manually add a new 2D compound to the processing method

The expected 2D compounds are stored in a compound table as part of the processing method. The following procedure describes how you can manually add a new 2D compound to the compound table.

Preparations

  • To be able to carry out the procedure as described, you need the following privileges. Privileges are configured in the Control Panel.

    • Project Management  > Edit content of project

    • Processing Method  > Save result set method

    • Processing Method  > Edit identification parameters

    • Data Processing  > Do manual compound identification

  • If the project enforces method approval, the method status must be Generic. For details, see Method approval.

  1. If the Processing Method window is hidden, click Processing Method in the Home ribbon tab to show the window.

  2. Under Methods in the navigation pane, select the processing method you want to edit.

  3. In the Processing Method window, select the Compounds > Identification node.

    The compound table is shown.

  4. Right-click the compound table, and select Add 2D compound from the context menu.

    Alternatively, click Add 2D compound in the Processing Method ribbon tab.

    A new line is added to the compound table. The new line is shown at the end of the table.

  5. Adjust the compound parameters as required. See Compound identification parameters.

  6. In the ribbon, click Save Method.
