The Dilution section is available only for the Analytical Operation Mode, and only when Enabled in the Sample Dilution section. It allows you to dilute concentrated samples before injection.
NOTE
Ensure that you use a vessel with sufficient volume to hold the diluted sample.
The table shows the dilution workflow; the following parameters must be specified:
Draw Dilution Solvent | Dilution Factor Choose this option to specify a dilution factor in the adjacent field Dilution Volume Choose this option to specify a volume of solvent with which to dilute the sample. Specify the volume in the adjacent field. Dilution Solvent Click the down-arrow and select how to specify the location of the dilution solvent from the drop-down list. You can select from: Location See Specifying a Location. Current Container A user-specified location that refers to the currently used sample container, allowing you to omit the multisampler drawer to be used from the specification. In this case, it is sufficient to specify the row and column of the location to be used. Sample+ A user-specified increment to the previously specified vial location (as specified in the sample information or sequence/worklist) by N positions; sample is drawn from the new position. Sample+ is intended for containers that support linear addressing only. Location+ A user-specified increment to the previously specified wellplate location (as specified in the sample information or sequence/worklist) by N rows and M columns; sample is drawn from the new position. Location+ is intended for containers that support row and column addressing only. Container A location relative to the previously specified location (as specified in the sample information or sequence/worklist) on a different container. Location coordinates and drawer specification remain unchanged. You can select from Front, Middle or Back. Drawer A location relative to the previously specified location (as specified in the sample information or sequence/worklist) on a different drawer. Location coordinates and container specification remain unchanged. You can select from D1, D2 or D3.

NOTE
Use high recovery vials if the volume of the dilution is less than the following:
<150 µL: use 2 mL vials
<350 µL: use 5 mL vials
