Set up a Data Player method

Runtime

Define the duration of the playback.

Playback Speed

Define how fast the signals will be played. For example, if you choose 2x, an 8 min signal will be shown in 4 min.

Data

Select the data file to be displayed. The listed data files are contained in the path set in the instrument configuration.

Signal Name

Choose the signal name to be used in the results:

  • signal name as given in the data files

  • generic signal name without any details

Data

Select the data file that contains the signals you want to use.

Supported data file formats are:

  • ChemStation data - containing chromatograms (.ch) or UV spectra (.uv)

  • OpenLab CDS data - containing chromatograms, UV spectra, or MS spectra (from GC/MS or LC/MS, only Single Quad MS)

  • CSV data sets

Signal Selection

List of signals that are available in the selected data file. Select the required signal or signals.

The signal name that will be used in the results is shown in the tool tip. It contains, for example, the channel information such as DAD1A, which is added to the signal name during acquisition.

Spectra Selection

List of spectra that are available in the selected data file. Select the required spectrum or spectra.

Spectra are associated to a detector via the detector name (for example, DAD or FLD). Spectra selection is therefore only active if you use the signal names as given in the data files.

If your data includes MS TIC signals

To replay MS TIC signals, ensure the following:

  • Use the signal names as given in the data files.

  • Select both the TIC signal in Signal Selection, and MS in Spectra Selection.

Otherwise, TIC signals will not be replayed.
