Enable Audit Logging

Select True to enable the audit trail, and all the actions performed by Sample Scheduler for OpenLab are traced in the System Activity Log of the Control Panel (under Administration).

The default value is False.

Once enabled, you can no longer disable the audit trail.

Only users with a role containing the View activity log privilege are able to view the activity log and all its entries. By default, these roles are Activity Log Access and Everything. This privilege is required to view error information for instruments in the dashboard.

To distinguish between system-induced changes and those made interactively by users, the Audit Trail checks whether the user has any Sample Scheduler privileges. Actions made by users without these privileges are marked as automatic.
