Refresh

Your current web page is automatically updated after the time interval defined in the Sample Scheduler configuration under System Configuration > Client > Automatic Refresh Period (see Sample Scheduler client). The minimum refresh time interval for the web interface is 3 seconds.

Note the time delay in the web interface due to the set refresh time. For example, an analysis that is displayed in the web interface in the Scheduled state can actually already be submitted to the instrument and processed, so that a transfer back to the Waiting state is no longer possible.

Update the web page manually by clicking or tapping Refresh in the header. Alternatively, if you are working with a PC, press F5 to update the web page.

The icon indicates that automatic refresh is enabled. Click or tap the icon to disable automatic refresh, which is then indicated by the icon.

The following applies to the automatic refresh option:

  • If you manually disable automatic refresh, it will remain disabled during your session.

  • During a session lock, automatic refresh is enabled, regardless of whether it was disabled during the previous session.

  • Automatic refresh is temporarily disabled while you edit in the Analyses view. Your entries must then be saved, otherwise they will be discarded after an inactivity time of 20 seconds.

  • Automatic refresh is disabled while you edit in the Details pane. After an inactivity time of 9 minutes, your entries are automatically saved.

  • Automatic refresh is disabled when you expand a sequence in the Analyses view. It will be automatically enabled again when you switch to another view or when you collapse the sequence.

If there is a large amount of analysis requests in the system, the automatic refresh can slow down performance. If you experience slow performance, increase the value for the automatic refresh period. Additionally, you can disable the automatic refresh in the web interface and instead refresh the user interface manually as needed.
