Deployment

The Deployment panel references all the Sample Scheduler Agents (services and processes) with their host computer, their state and their PID (Product Identification as defined in the task manager of the computer where it is running):

  • Sample Scheduler LIMS agent (Windows service)

  • Sample Scheduler agents (Windows service)

  • Sample Scheduler webserver (service is only displayed if the Sample Scheduler web interface is installed)

  • Sample Scheduler acquisition agents

  • Instrument name in case of a Sample Scheduler acquisition agent

Four states can be assigned to the agents:

  • Started

  • Stopped

  • Error

  • Not responding (loss of connection with database for example)

This panel allows the Sample Scheduler administrator to consult in a centralized screen the state of all Sample Scheduler agents, and start or stop a service, whatever the host computer name. This option is intended to facilitate maintenance operations.

The Sample Scheduler LIMS agent checks the licensing server for a Sample Scheduler for OpenLab license and uses it during its operation. If there is no license on the specified licensing server, the LIMS agent cannot be started.

To start the Sample Scheduler agents, first ensure that the Sample Scheduler Webserver is running.
