You can add more LIMS connections, specifying the associated parameters for each LIMS connection.
Every LIMS connection configured in the Sample Scheduler system requires a license. If the number of LIMS connections exceeds the number of available licenses, the last connections in the list Selected LIMS are not established by the Sample Scheduler. XML commands or actions addressed to a not established LIMS connection will not be executed and moved to the trash folder.
In the Home ribbon tab, select
Add new LIMS
connection.
Enter a name for the new LIMS connection. You cannot save the configuration without entering a name. Make sure that you use a unique name for each LIMS connection.
Provide the parameters for the LIMS connection:
Enter the general parameters used for the LIMS connection, such as the Command folder and Analysis life time.
To use XML commands for the LIMS connection, specify the parameters in section LIMS XML Commands.
To use SQL query for the LIMS database connection, specify the parameters in section LIMS Database Queries.
To manually submit result reports of an analysis or sequence of analyses to the LIMS, enable Use Sign-Off, and specify the parameters in section Sign-Off for LIMS.
Save your configuration.
The entries are validated and checked for invalid values and for duplicate values that should be unique (that applies to the Name and the Result folder).
To address an XML command to a specific LIMS connection that is not the default LIMS connection, you must specify the name of the LIMS connection in the XML command. Analyses and sequences will be processed by the Sample Scheduler with the corresponding parameters configured for the LIMS connection. If the XML command does not contain the tag <LIMS connection>, the default LIMS connection is used. If the XML command has an invalid LIMS connection specified or the tag <LIMS connection> is blank, it will be not accepted and deleted. |
