Use the barcode reader to scan your barcoded vials and enter them in the Expected Barcode column of the sequence table.
Options to transfer the vial barcode to the sequence table:
Directly from handheld barcode scanner
Using an Advanced Sample Linking solution
Do not to specify the vial position in the Vial column. The vial position corresponding to a barcode is displayed as tooltip in the Expected Barcode column.
If both expected barcode and vial position are specified, then the vial position is used to inject the sample. The expected barcode is then used for confirmation (see Confirm barcodes during a run).
If a specified barcode cannot be detected, the barcode field is highlighted in the sequence table.
When submitting a sequence with undetected barcodes, a warning is shown, but you can still submit the sequence. Place a vial with the missing barcode in the tray before that specific injection runs.
If a barcode is still not found on running a specific injection, the injection will be skipped.
