If you have already defined a compound in your processing method for one signal, you can copy it to all other signals.
Prerequisites
To be able to carry out the procedure as described, you need the privilege Processing Method > Edit identification parameters. Privileges are configured in the Control Panel.
If the project enforces method approval, the method status must be Generic. For details, see Method approval.
Under Methods in the navigation pane, select the processing method you want to edit.
Check the parameters for the compound you want to copy. See Compound identification parameters.
Under Signals in the navigation pane, check which signals are currently present in Data Analysis.
The list shows signals from all loaded results. Ensure that the list includes only those signals to which you want to copy the compound.
Ensure that all signals are aligned (see Align MS and UV Chromatograms).
This is required because the same expected retention time will be set for all signals, and if relevant, also for extracting the reference spectra.
In the compound table, select the compound or group that you want to copy to the other signals. Hold the [Ctrl] or [Shift] key to select multiple items.
Right-click the selected items, and select Duplicate selected compound or timed group.
A new line is added to the compound table for each selected item on each available signal. The new lines are shown at the end of the table.
Save the processing method.
