Draw a new baseline

The New Baseline tool is automatically activated when you move the mouse cursor below the signal in an area where no peak is integrated. In this case, the cursor will change to a crosshair symbol.

  1. Move the mouse cursor below the signal in an area where no peak is integrated.

  2. The New Baseline tool is automatically activated. The cursor changes to a crosshair symbol.

  3. Click with the left mouse button, and drag the appearing baseline to a new position.

  4. The new peak can now be integrated.

You can construct the new baseline segment freely at any position within areas that do not contain any peaks. However, it is often required that the baseline segment starts or ends directly at the signal. To achieve this, you can make use of the signal attractor (see Attractors).
