There are two scenarios where signed data becomes unsigned:
If something is wrong with the data that has already been signed, you can actively revoke the signature. All signatures of all levels will be removed.
If you reprocess signed data (see Reprocess data), signatures will not be carried forward to the new version of the results.
Prerequisites
To be able to carry out the procedure as described, you need the privileges Project Management > Edit content of project and E-Signature > Revoke E-Signature. Privileges are configured in the Control Panel.
Only if the signature order is not enforced (see Set signature levels):
Your signature level must be equal to or higher than the level of the highest applied signature.
Select the result set or the single injection for which you want to revoke the signatures.
In the Audit/E-Sign ribbon tab,
click Revoke signature
.
The Revoke Signatures dialog lists all injections for which you are going to revoke the signatures.
Under Meaning, choose why you revoke the signatures. Optionally, enter a comment.
Meanings are preset for the entire project in the Control Panel.
Provide your login credentials.
Click Revoke.
Signatures from all signature levels are removed.
The
signature symbol () is no longer shown in the injection
tree.
Inform the originator of the data about the issue that you have found. The approval process needs to start again from the beginning.
Revoking a signature does not change the version of the result set. |
