Use time reference compounds |
Time references are used to correct the absolute retention time windows based on possible shifts observed by selected time reference compounds. For more details on the required settings, see Use time reference compounds. If you select this check box, the application uses specific compounds to calculate a shift of retention times. Together with a general factor and the RT Update Factor, this shift is used to correct the expected retention time of a peak or the start and end time of a timed group. For more details on how the application calculates the corrected expected retention times, see Calculations for time reference compounds. |
Use RRT reference compounds | If you have an identified compound you can enter relative retention times from the literature to determine the expected retention times of other compounds. If you select this check box, the columns Is RRT ref., Associated RRT ref., and RRT become visible in the compound table. For timed groups, the columns RRT start and RRT stop are added. For details on how the application calculates the RRT values, see Calculations for relative retention times (RRT). |
