Processing method: MS Sample Purity: Properties

General

Calculate sample purity

If selected, MS sample purity is calculated on reprocessing.

See Configure LC/MS sample purity.

Minimum purity limit

Threshold value to report whether a sample is pure or not in the Sample Purity Results window.

Signal

Choose the signal you want to use for the purity calculation.

See MS Sample purity calculation.

MS calculation to use

Select the mode for calculation. Only relevant if the base signal is an MS detector signal.

Positive Ions / Negative Ions

The settings on this page are taken into account when the application looks for hits for the target ions. The application will extract as many EICs as are required to cover all possible hits for the targets.

Charge carriers

Select adducts that associate with your target ions. You must select at least one adduct. If required, enter a new adduct and click + to add it to the list.

For example, if 310 is a target and +H is an adduct, 311 [M+H] will be a hit for the target.

Neutral losses

For example, if 310 is a target and H2O is a neutral loss, 292 [M-H2O] will be a hit for the target.

Charge states, if not know

For example, if 556 is a target that has a charge state of 2, then 278 [M/2] will be a hit for the target.

Aggregates

Selecting Dimers or Trimers will add [2M + chosen adducts] or [3M + chosen adducts] respectively as hits for the target.

For example, if 310 is a target and Dimer is chosen in addition to +H adduct, a hit for the target will be 311 [M+H] and 621 [2M+H].
