Select the appropriate volume for the syringe from the drop-down list. You can select from the following:
Standard: | 100 µL, 900 µL |
G1389A Low Flow: | 8 µL, 40 µL |
G2260A Preparative | 900 µL |
You can enter a value for the seat capillary volume between 0.0 µL and 8000 µL. Agilent provides seat capillaries with the following volumes:
Standard: | 2.3 µL, 400 µL, 1400 µL |
G1389A Low Flow: | 0.3 µL, 0.7 µL, 1.2 µL |
G2260A Preparative | 20 µL, 500 µL, 1500 µL, 5000 µL |
If you install a custom seat capillary, enter an appropriate value for the volume.
The waittime is enabled only in the case of multiple draw, if the seat capillary volume is greater than or equal to the syringe volume. It allows the temporary vacuum, which originates from the drawing of liquid from the sample vial, to dissipate. After injecting sample into the seat capillary, the system waits for the specified time before moving the needle up for the next sample draw.
Enter a loop volume in the field, either by using the up- and down-arrows or by typing the volume in the field. You can enter a volume between 0.00 µL and the syringe volume, in increments of 0.01 µL.
The maximum injection volume is dependent on the syringe and seat capillary volumes:
If seat capillary volume < syringe volume, then max. injection volume = syringe volume
If seat capillary volume ≥ syringe volume, then max. injection volume = syringe volume + seat capillary volume
For the G4303A, the maximum injection volume is equal to the loop volume.
This check box is marked to indicate that a BCD/external contacts board has been detected during autoconfiguration. For manual configuration, mark the External contacts board installed check box to indicate that a BCD/external contacts board is installed. Specify the use of external contacts in the External Contacts.
When the External contacts board installed check box is cleared, the External Contacts section of the method setup is not present. |
use BCD port for and BCD port output format are used to configure the BCD output, which is available only if you have installed the BCD/external contacts board.
Select Location to transfer the location information in BCD format. For example, you can connect an integrator which supports BCD to transfer the location information to your integrator reports.
Select Binary output if you want to control third party devices using binary commands sent by the Output command of the Autosampler Pretreatment.
This check box is marked to indicate that a thermostat has been detected during autoconfiguration. For manual configuration, mark the Thermostat installed check box to indicate that a thermostat is installed.
This check box is for use in offline mode only. In online mode, use the Modify command from the Dashboard context menu to chenge the thermostat control.
Mark the check box to specify that the thermostat is controlled by the parameters in the Thermostat and Enable Analysis sections of the Advanced method parameters. In this case, the thermostat parameters in the Control dialog box are deactivated.
Clear the check box to specify that the thermostat is controlled by the Temperature and Enable Analysis sections of the Control dialog box. In this case the parameters in the Method dialog box are deactivated. This is the default condition.
Mark this check box if you have an external tray installed and you want to use it. When this check box is marked, the external tray is shown in the Tray user interface, and vial positions for the external tray are allowed.
