The items in the pump valve cluster graphic have the following meaning and function:
Indicates that an External Contacts board is installed.
When the solvent level falls below the specified volume, the yellow warning is shown; when the bottle is empty, the red error is shown. Clicking on the solvent bottle displays the Bottle Fillings dialog box. The tooltip for the bottle shows the solvent name.
(G4220A/B, G4204A, G7120A, G7132A and G7104A/C) Indicates that the ISET option is installed but with no active method (gray) or installed and active (black).
| The pressure setpoints. The red line shows the current maximum pressure limit; the gray area shows the current pressure (also shown as text). |
The current solvent flow rate (in mL/min) is displayed above the pressure display.
The following pump actuals are displayed:
Flow | The current solvent flow rate (in mL/min). |
Pressure |
The current pump pressure (in bar or psi). |
Ripple |
(Not G4220A/B, G7120A, G7132A, G4204A or G7104A/C) The current ripple (in %). |
Tuning |
(G4220A/B, G7120A, G7132A, G4204A and G7104A/C) Indicates the tuning efforts of 1290 Infinity pumps. For pumps operating as expected, the signal should stay in a range of -1 to +1 within the full scale of -2 to +2. |
Pressure Limit |
The current maximum pressure limit, and the module that is setting the limit. |
Composition A, B | The percentage contributions of solvent channels A and B to the current solvent composition. |
Composition C, D | The percentage contributions of solvent channels C and D to the current solvent composition. |
Valve Position | The current valve position. |
Purge Status |
The current status of the pump purge. |
Prepare Pump |
Displays the current pump preparation operation and the remaining duration for Purge or Conditioning, or the run time for Prime. (G7120A, G7132A and G7104A/C) |
The context menu contains the following commands, depending on the configured options:
| Displays the pump's Control dialog box. |
| Displays the pump's Method Setup dialog box. |
|
|
| Displays a submenu that allows you to identify either each individual device or all devices in the cluster:
|
| Switches the pump on when it is off, or off when it is on. |
| Displays the Bottle Fillings dialog box. |
| Allows you to control the purging of the system. (G4220A/B and G4204A only) |
| Allows you to prime the pump heads if they are full of air. (G4220A/B and G4204A only) |
| Allows you to switch pump conditioning on and off (G4220A/B and G4204A only) See Conditioning for more information. |
| Displays the Prepare Pump dialog box (G7120A, G7132A and G7104A/C only) |
|
Allows you to ensure that all air bubbles in the seal wash lines are removed (for example, after the seal wash solvent bottle has been refilled). (G7120A, G7132A and G7104A/C only) |
