2.5 Drying gas pressure controller cannot regulate the requested setting after a fixed amount of time.
Probable Causes
Obstruction or lack of pressure in gas supply
Leak or blocked filter
Bad drying gas control module
Bad main board
Suggested Actions
Set the Gas Flow to 0 l/min; check that the gas supply pressure is between 80 psi and 100 psi.
Replace or temporarily bypass any gas filters.
Check all of the gas connections for leaks.
Check the cable connections at the gas flow modules. If a cable is disconnected, vent and turn off power before plugging the cable back in.
Slowly, turn up the Gas Flow (1 L every 20 seconds) and monitor the actual value in the Method > Source Section (LC/MS). If the Gas Flow works at a low flow setting but not at a high flow setting, look for an obstruction or limitation from the gas supply.
