Error Messages

These messages apply to the LC/MSD and LC/MSD XT Single Quadrupole instruments.

• 1.0 Fragmentor driver cannot maintain the requested voltage.

• 1.1 Skimmer1 driver cannot maintain the requested voltage.

• 1.2 Octopole1 driver cannot maintain the requested voltage.

• 1.3 Octopole shroud driver cannot maintain the requested voltage.

• 1.4 Lens1 DC driver cannot maintain the requested voltage.

• 1.5 Lens2 DC driver cannot maintain the requested voltage.

• 1.7 Iris driver cannot maintain the requested voltage.

• 1.12 Lens2 RF driver cannot maintain the requested RF peak voltage.

• 1.13 Octopole RF driver cannot maintain the requested RF peak voltage.

• 1.15 MS U- driver cannot maintain the requested mass setting.

• 1.16 MS U+ driver cannot maintain the requested mass setting.

• 1.17 MS RF driver cannot maintain the requested mass setting.

• 1.18 MS U+/U- DC-to-DC converter supply is not producing voltage or is over producing voltage.

• 1.19 Instrument cannot achieve proper rough pump vacuum in a fixed amount of time. Vent and power cycle is needed to clear condition.

• 1.23 Vacuum system is not ready. This is typical during a pump down cycle or when the high vacuum pump is turned off during a vent cycle or fault condition.

• 1.24 HED power supply senses a fault condition.

• 1.25 EMV power supply senses a fault condition.

• 1.26 APCI power supply senses a fault condition

• 1.27 VCap/VChamber power supply senses a fault condition.

• 1.28 Multimode source controller senses a fault condition.

• 1.29 High vacuum pump fan has failed.

• 1.30 Electronics module fan has failed.

• 1.31 Leak detected in leak tray.

• 2.0 Main board lens driver power supply cannot maintain the voltage.

• 2.1 APCI heater controller cannot regulate the requested setting after a fixed amount of time. Power cycle is needed to clear condition.

• 2.2 Drying gas heater controller cannot regulate the requested setting after a fixed amount of time. Power cycle is needed to clear condition.

• 2.5 Drying gas pressure controller cannot regulate the requested setting after a fixed amount of time.

• 2.7 Nebulizer pressure controller cannot regulate the requested setting after a fixed amount of time.

• 2.8 High vacuum gauge is reading too high a pressure

• 2.9 Cable to the valve board is not connected. Turn off power to the electronics before connecting cable.

• 2.10 Cable to the octopole board is not connected. Turn off power to the electronics before connecting cable.

• 2.11 Cable to the MS RFPA board is not connected. Turn off power to the electronics before connecting cable.

• 2.12 Cable to the multimode board is not connected. Turn off power to the electronics before connecting cable.

• 2.13 Cable from Main Board to the flow controller board is not connected. Turn off power to the electronics before connecting cable.

• 2.14 Cable to the HED supply is not connected. Turn off power to the electronics before connecting cable.

• 2.15 Cable from Main Board to various lens elements is not connected. Turn off power to the electronics before connecting cable.

• 2.16 Firmware timing problem: log amp is read before conversion is completed.

• 2.17 Source is opened.

• 2.18 Needle is removed from the APCI or Multimode source.

• 2.19 Selector stream valve cannot switch properly.

• 2.20 AC line zero cross circuit has failed. Vent and power cycle is needed to clear condition.

• 2.21 Turbo pump does not reach proper speed in a fixed amount of time. Vent and power cycle is needed to clear condition.

• 2.24 APCI/Sheath gas heater has exceeded its maximum temperature. Power cycle is needed to clear condition.

• 2.25 Drying gas heater has exceeded its maximum temperature. Power cycle is needed to clear condition.

• 2.26 MS heater has exceeded its maximum temperature. Power cycle is needed to clear condition.

• 2.30 Hardware shutdown on main board.

• 2.31 Hardware shutdown state caused by fault in status

• 5.0 Firmware default parameter error.

• 5.1 Firmware DSP error.

• 5.2 Firmware PLX error.

• 5.3 MS heater is out of range.

• 5.5 No ion source is detected.

• 5.8 Run parameter error.

• 5.9 Shorted source heater sensor

• 5.10 Source heater sensor is open.

• Ion source {0} failed to settle
