Error Messages

These messages apply to the LC/MSD iQ Single Quadrupole instrument.

If any of these errors continues to occur, copy the error on the screen and contact Agilent for more help.

  • Carrier Board L1 Fault:  Fragmentor fault - the Lens Driver cannot achieve the requested voltage.

  • Carrier Board L2 Fault:  Skimmer fault - the Lens Driver cannot achieve the requested voltage.

  • Carrier Board L3 Fault:  Cyclone Outer DC fault - the Lens Driver cannot achieve the requested voltage.

  • Carrier Board L4 Fault:  Cyclone Exit DC fault - the Lens Driver cannot achieve the requested voltage.

  • Carrier Board L5 Fault:  Cyclone Exit Lens fault - the Lens Driver cannot achieve the requested voltage.

  • Carrier Board L6 Fault:  MS Entrance Lens fault - the Lens Driver cannot achieve the requested voltage.

  • Carrier Board L7 Fault:  MS Shroud DC fault - the Lens Driver cannot achieve the requested voltage.

  • Carrier Board L8 Fault:  Iris Lens fault - the Lens Driver cannot achieve the requested voltage.

  • The Cyclone Driver cannot maintain the requested inner RF peak voltage.

  • The Cyclone Driver cannot maintain the requested outer RF peak voltage.

  • MS U- driver to the Quad cannot maintain the set voltage

  • MS U+ driver to the Quad cannot maintain the set voltage

  • MS RF driver to the Quad cannot maintain the set voltage

  • U+/U- DC to DC converter supply (MS1) is not producing the set voltage

  • Carrier Board Lens driver power supply cannot maintain the voltage.

  • The Vertical Interconnect Board is not connected to Carrier Board via the Interconnect Board (ICB).

  • The Cyclone Driver board is not connected to the Carrier Board via the Interconnect Board (ICB).

  • "The ribbon cable between the MS1 Quad Driver and the ICB is not connected.

  • "The Nozzle HV PCA is not connected to the Carrier Board. Not used on Aston 1.

  • The GFM PCA is not connected to the Carrier Board.

  • HED Power Supply is not connected to Carrier Board.

  • The power and lens cable between the MS Quad Driver and the ICB is not connected.

  • Hardware Shutdown event is coming the Carrier Board. Any of the faults on Status1 and Status2 will cause an Internal Shutdown.

  • Turbo Fan locked

  • +48V is out of operational limits on the Interconnect Board.

  • +24V is out of operational limits on the Interconnect Board.

  • +15V is out of operational limits on the Interconnect Board.

  • -15V is out of operational limits on the Interconnect Board.

  • Interconnect Board CPU Temperature above operating limit.

  • MS Quad Heater Temperature Sensor reading is out of operational limits.

  • MS Quad Heater Temperature Sensor failed to return value or sensor harness disconnected or broken.

  • MS Quad Heater shutoff due to temperature exceeding maximum limit.

  • Short circuit detected on MS Quad Heater.

  • +48V_RF is out of operational limits on the Interconnect Board.

  • Unknown source type

  • Device driver software error.

  • Zero Crossing Signal from AC Mains not available.

  • Q1 Fan Fault

  • Q2 Fan Fault

  • +3.3V_ZDB is out of operational limits on the Interconnect Board.

  • +1.8V_ZDB is out of operational limits on the Interconnect Board.

  • Current Draw on +48V supply is out of operational limits on the Interconnect Board.

  • Current Draw on +48V_RF supply is out of operational limits on the Interconnect Board.

  • Current Draw on +24V supply is out of operational limits on the Interconnect Board.

  • Current Draw on +15V supply is out of operational limits on the Interconnect Board.

  • Current Draw on -15V supply is out of operational limits on the Interconnect Board.

  • Current Draw on +5V supply is out of operational limits on the Interconnect Board.

  • Current Draw on +5V_ZDB supply is out of operational limits on the Interconnect Board.

  • Current Draw on +3.3V_ZDB supply is out of operational limits on the Interconnect Board.

  • Current Draw on +1.8V_ZDB supply is out of operational limits on the Interconnect Board.

  • +48V is out of operational limits at the output of the Ultimod Power Supply.

  • +48V_RF is out of operational limits at the output of the Ultimod Power Supply.

  • +24V is out of operational limits at the output of the Ultimod Power Supply.

  • +15V is out of operational limits at the output of the Ultimod Power Supply.

  • +5V is out of operational limits at the output of the Ultimod Power Supply.

  • Current Draw on +48V supply is out of operational limits at the output of the Ultimod Power Supply.

  • Current Draw on +48V_RF supply is out of operational limits at the output of the Ultimod Power Supply.

  • Current Draw on +24V supply is out of operational limits at the output of the Ultimod Power Supply.

  • Current Draw on +15V supply is out of operational limits at the output of the Ultimod Power Supply.

  • Current Draw on +5V supply is out of operational limits at the output of the Ultimod Power Supply.

  • High Vacuum Gauge Filament current is out of operational limits on the Interconnect Board.

  • AC Mains RMS voltage is out of operational limits.

  • MS Quad Heater Current is out of operational limits on the Interconnect Board.

  • Ambient Temperature is out of operational limits on the Interconnect Board.

  • Humidity inside instrument is out of operational limits.

  • Current draw on the +48V supply on the Cyclone Driver PCA is out of operational limits.

  • +48V supply on the Cyclone Driver PCA is out of operational limits.

  • +5.5V supply on the Cyclone Driver PCA is out of operational limits.

  • +40V supply on the Cyclone Driver PCA is out of operational limits.

  • Cyclone Inner Rods driver integrator output is out of operational limits.

  • +5VA Inner Rods supply on the Cyclone Driver PCA is out of operational limits

  • Current Monitoring of the +40V for the inner rods output state on the Cyclone Driver is out of operational limits.

  • +5VA Outer Rods supply on the Cyclone Driver PCA is out of operational limits

  • Cyclone Outer Rods driver integrator output is out of operational limits.

  • Current Monitoring of the +40V for the outer rods output state on the Cyclone Driver is out of operational limits.

  • High Vacuum Ion Gauge Filament Driver in fault state.
