Drying Gas Temperature is the temperature of the drying gas. The temperature required depends on the LC flow rate, the Drying Gas Flow Rate, the type of analysis (electrospray, APCI or MM-ES+APCI), and the thermal stability of the sample.

In practice, any temperature below ambient simply turns off the drying gas heater.
