Document a report template

For a saved report template, the Report Template Documentation Tool allows you to create a template description in PDF format. The description includes the layout of report items along with their parameter details, such as calculation variables, report parameters, expressions used, filter condition, sort condition, audit trail, etc.

  1. Load the report template that you want to document, or save the current report template.

  2. You can only document saved report templates.

  3. Select the Editor layout, so that the Report Editor window is visible.

  4. In the ribbon, click Document Template .

  5. The report template documentation opens in the PDF Viewer.

  6. Click to print the file, or click Export to save it.
