Report manually extracted spectra not associated with any peak

OpenLab CDS allows you to report also manually extracted MS or UV spectra that are not associated with any peak. You can report them using the following report items:

  • MS Spectra snippets, including flow layout

  • UV Spectra snippets including flow layout

  • Library Search Result snippets

  • MS Deconvolution Results snippets

  1. In the Report Properties dialog, select the Virtual Spectrum Peak page.

  2. Select the Report manual spectra outside a peak check box.

This option will create a virtual peak for all manually extracted MS and UV Spectrum not associated with any peak. The retention time of the virtual peak is the time that you clicked in the chromatogram.

If you created the spectrum from a time range, the virtual retention time is the mid between start and end of the range. The time shown on the spectrum legend might differ from this time since the closest spectrum will be extracted. Depending on the data rate, this time can be a different from the retention time of the virtual peak.

  3. For spectra snippets:

In Spectra Properties, on the Spectra page, select Report manual spectra if available.

  4. To remove the virtual peak from other report items such as tables or chromatograms: Filter the corresponding items with the following expression:
