Prevent a user from scheduling new analyses and sequences by locking an instrument. Instruments are locked in the Control Panel. * * See "Lock instrument" in the Control Panel online help.
The connection to the instrument will only be locked after all running analyses (that is, in Scheduled, Submitted, or In Progress state) have been completed. Incoming analyses from the LIMS that are submitted in the Scheduled state will not be started, but are transferred to the Error state.
If an instrument is locked, a
padlock is displayed next to the instrument status.
You can no longer use a locked instrument for analyses or sequences, which means that you cannot select a locked instrument in the Details pane.
