Stop instrument

The instrument stop button can be clicked or tapped to immediately stop all active analyses in the queue of an instrument. Analyses in Submitted or In progress state are stopped, analyses in Scheduled state are transfered back to Waiting state.

Prerequisites

To be able to carry out the procedure as described, you need the following privileges: Privileges are configured in the Control Panel.

• Stop / Stop instrument (Sample Scheduler) (role type Administrative, section Sample Scheduler)

• Edit Analysis (Sample Scheduler)

• Control > Abort any running sample (role type Project)

  CDS 2.7 introduced the Cancel my pending runs and Cancel any pending runs privileges. Users with either of these privileges can stop analyses and sequences faster, as they are stopped before being submitted to the instrument.

Stop instrument from a desktop/tablet:

1. In the main menu, select Instruments.

2. Click or tap for the instrument you wish to stop.

Stop instrument from a smartphone:

1. In the main menu, select Instruments.

2. Click or tap the instrument you want to stop to expand detailed information.
