Instrument Groups

Instrument groups allow you to configure alternative (backup) instruments for the same type of analysis. Within one instrument group, users can easily switch between instruments for a particular analysis. For each instrument in the group you define parameters, such as project, injection source, or acquisition method. When the user selects the instrument in the Analysis Table, these parameters will automatically be filled.

Instrument groups can be defined as follows:

• In Sample Scheduler configuration (see Set up an instrument group)

• With an XML command

• With an SQL query
