Barcode values are used during acquisition as a means to trace inputs of samples as well as data outputs. Barcodes allow you to either place vials anywhere on your sample tray, or to confirm expected barcodes during a run.
Prerequisites
|
OpenLab CDS allows you to scan vial barcodes in advance, and then place the vials anywhere into the instrument. The correct sample will be injected based on the expected barcode.
See Use barcoded vials anywhere on sample tray
OpenLab CDS allows you to confirm that the expected barcode in your sequence table matches with what is scanned on the vial at injection time. You will be alerted if there is a mismatch. You can set the next action of the system if a mismatch is detected.
