There are several possible causes to a missing or inactive function:
Read-only items
Functions that modify the result set, such
as Reprocess, Save, Print, or
Link functions, are inactive if the result set
is read-only. Read-only items are shown with the read-only symbol
in the navigation pane.
Data is read-only, for example, if it has been loaded from a different project (see Load read-only data from other projects).
Missing privileges
Many functions depend on privileges and may not work as described if you have insufficient privileges. Ask your administrator to adjust your role in the Control Panel to grant you the required privileges.
Locked result set
In locked result sets, you cannot change anything that would influence the results (see Lock or unlock a result set and Sign a result set).
Method is approved or obsolete
Approved methods cannot be modified, only automatic updates may occur during calibration calculations or for retention time updates. Obsoleted methods cannot be modified. See Method approval.
Missing license
Working with data or methods that contain additional information may require a specific license. If you do not have this license, you can only work with the basic part of the data, and you can neither use nor modify methods of specific method configurations.
For example, without a license for the 2D-LC Data Analysis Software, you cannot link or modify 2D-LC methods.
