Module Graphic

The items in the standard autosampler graphic have the following meaning and function:

Actuals

The following Vialsampler actuals are displayed:

Injection Volume

The volume of the last injection (in µL).

Sample Location

The location of the last sample.

Temperature

The temperature of the sample cooler or thermostat (in ° C). This actual is present only if a sample cooler or thermostat is installed.

Context Menu

The context menu contains the following commands:

Control

Displays the sampler's Control dialog box.

Method

Displays the sampler's Method Setup dialog box.

Injector Program

Displays the sampler's Injector Program dialog box.

Error Method

  • Set Error Method

    Sets the error method to the method that is currently available in the hardware. The error methods are loaded automatically on all modules if an error occurs.

  • Clear Error Method

    Removes the currently loaded error method.

Identify Device

Causes the LED on the front of the module to blink for a few seconds.

Home Arm

Moves the needle arm to its home position to allow you to remove the tray.

Reset Injector

Sends a reset signal to your Vialsampler. During the reset, the injector is in a Not Ready state (yellow).

Release Vial

Returns the vial to its original position in the Vialsampler tray.

Switch Valve to Bypass

Switches the valve from the main flow path to bypass.

Switch Valve to Mainpass

Switches the valve from bypass to the main flow path.

Switch on/off Tray Illumination

Switches the tray illumination on or off.

Needle Wash

Displays the sampler's Needle Wash dialog box, which allows you to set the conditions for an immediate needle wash.

Modify

    Choose what to modify from the submenu:

  • Flow Path

    Displays the sampler's Flow Path dialog box, which allows you to set up the Metering Head, Loop capillary and Seat capillary.

  • External Tray

    Displays the sampler's Modify External Tray dialog box, which allows you to update the instrument configuration after you have added or removed the external tray.

  • Temperature Mode

    Displays the sampler's Modify Temperature Mode dialog box, which allows you to switch between Constant temperature mode, with control from the Control parameters, and Variable temperature mode, with control from the Method Setup parameters.

These parameters override the Configuration settings.

Needle Wash

Displays the Vialsampler's Needle Wash dialog box, which allows you to wash the needle without modifying your current method.
