To compensate for drifting retention times, Data Analysis offers the following ways for updating them:
Manually:
Automatically:
Assign a compound, and update retention time from peak. See Manually assign a compound to a peak
If you update the expected retention time of a compound that is defined on EIC or SIM signal:
The extraction retention time window is updated automatically.
To check the values, use the column chooser to display the Extraction window (min) column in the compound table.
NOTE
If no peak is found in the EIC/SIM after reprocessing: Check the extraction window. It may have been updated to a time range too far away from the compound peak.
If qualifiers are defined for the compound: All qualifier retention times are shifted by the same amount as the compound's expected retention time. Note that you can modify qualifier retention times in the method.
Qualifier response ratios are not updated. To update them, see Update qualifier responses.
