In the Data Selection view, you can select either result sets or single samples, and load the associated data. If you have already loaded data, the following procedures will add the result sets or single samples to the data that is already available in the Data Processing view.
Prerequisites
To be able to carry out the procedure as described, you need the privilege Project Management > Edit content of project. Privileges are configured in the Control Panel.
You have not loaded another version of the same data.
You cannot load multiple versions of the same data simultaneously. If you try to load a different version of already loaded data, a notification icon is shown in the status bar. Click the icon to display the detailed message.
Navigate to the required result set and select it.
The injections of the selected result set or single samples folder are shown in the Injection List window. You can preview the details to decide if you want to load this data.
If a
result set is currently being imported, the message No metadata
available is shown in the Injection
List window. Click Refresh
to update the status.
To load the result set, click
Load
Data in the ribbon, or double-click the result set.
All injections of the result set are loaded, and the application switches to the Data Processing view. The data is added to other data that you may have loaded before.
Zipped ChemStation or EZChrom results are automatically unzipped and converted into the OpenLab CDS data format. For unzipped ChemStation or EZChrom results, OpenLab CDS may offer you to create a version to preserve original data (see From OpenLab CDS ChemStation Edition or Use existing EZChrom data and methods).
You can only load an entire result set. Loading parts of a result set is not supported. |
If you load unprocessed data, you may be asked to create a processing method. This depends on the system settings - see Always ask for a processing method.
In this dialog, select a suitable method configuration, or select No method to load the data without creating a processing method.
In the Data Selection Tree, browse to the folder containing the single samples.
The data file extension depends on the data origin:
.dx files have been created with OpenLab CDS
.D.SSIzip files have been created with ChemStation and are stored in ECM 3.x in a zipped format.
In the Injection List window, select the check boxes of the single injections you want to load.
To select or deselect a range of injections:
Click the first injection in the range.
Hold down the [Shift] key and click the last injection in the range.
Press [Space] to select or clear the check boxes in the range.
To select multiple single injections:
Click the first injection.
Hold down the [Ctrl] key while clicking the individual injections.
Press Space to select or clear the check boxes of the highlighted injections.
To select or deselect all single injections in a folder:
Select or clear the check box in the column header at the top of the injection list.
To hide already loaded single injections:
Clear the check box Include already loaded results at the top of the injection list.
Click
Load
Data in the ribbon.
All selected injections are loaded, and the application switches to the Data Processing view. The data is added to other data that you may have loaded before. If there are processing methods linked to the data, and the methods are available in the Methods folder of your project, the methods are automatically loaded together with the data. The methods are then listed in the Method Selector.
If you load unprocessed data, you may be asked to create a processing method. This depends on the system settings - see Always ask for a processing method.
In this dialog, select a suitable method configuration, or select No method to load the data without creating a processing method.
