User Interface - Global Parameters

Ion source

The source that is being used in this method. The installed source is also shown next to the Ion Source. Possible sources are  ESI, AJS ESI, APCI, APPI, and MMI.

Time filter window (min)

Whether or not to use the time filter during acquisition. If you select this check box, then the smooth algorithm is applied to the data, and you enter a peakwidth. When the time domain filter is turned on, the specified peakwidth is used to determine the width of the Gaussian filter. The time filter should always be used unless you are setting a peakwidth greater than the true chromatographic peakwidth. If you clear this check box, then no time domain filter is applied.

Stop time (min)

Either As Pump/No Limit or the actual Limit in minutes.

Tune file

This section is not available if you have an LC/MSD iQ.

The name of the tune file to use when this method is used.

Fast scan check box

This section is not available if you have an LC/MSD iQ.

Whether or not the selected Tune file is a Fast scan tune file. If it is a Fast scan tune file, then when you use this method, you acquire in Fast scan mode. See Fast scan (LC/MS).
