Only analyses in Waiting, Waiting on Error or Incomplete state can be edited in the Details pane.
A parameter may be unavailable, depending on the acquisition system. Also there are dependencies between different parameters and selected values, for example, if you select a project then only the associated acquisition methods are available. For more information, see Analysis Parameters.
All the parameters are editable except the following:
CDS type (if only one CDS type is configured)
Ended date
Identifier
Last modification by
Last modification date
LIMS IDi [i=1 to 3]
Priority
Run time
State
Depending on the parameter, values may require the input of text, numbers or boolean. For parameters with predefined values, you can choose the value from a list.
Only one analysis can be edited at a time in a Sample Scheduler session, and an analysis cannot be edited simultaneously in two sessions. |
In the Analyses view, select the analysis you want to edit.
Click or tap
on the right side of the analysis or in the bottom area of the
Analyses view.
The Details pane opens in editing mode.
If you have opened the details pane in read-only mode, you can enable the editing mode in the Details pane:
In the header of the Details pane, click or
tap
Edit Analysis. If you are
using a mobile device, you will find this option in the header context menu
.
The analysis state is turned into Edited by <user name> to inform other users that the analysis is currently being edited. In this state, the analysis cannot be edited by other users, neither in the web interface nor in the client.
Click or tap the category whose parameter(s) you want to edit.
Enter a value in a parameter field.
or For the parameter with predefined values, select a value from the drop-down list.
The field with the newly entered value is tagged with a bullet. This tag remains until the new entries are saved.
For example:
Save your entries. If you do not save your entries, they will be automatically saved after nine minutes of inactivity.
The analysis state changes. The analysis can now be edited by other users.
Required parameters (for example, project, instrument, injection source, acquisition method, and result name) are marked with an asterisk. In the editing state: The
categories of missing are highlighted in red and marked with
Assign values to all required parameters to change the analysis status to Waiting. Then you can schedule the analysis. |
Sample Scheduler prevents the use of invalid entries during editing in the Details pane. Invalid parameters are highlighted in red and a tooltip displays the details of the validation error. The tooltip explains the character limits for the entry as well as invalid characters or precision. The input validation includes:
If you save while an entry is still marked as invalid, the invalid entry is not saved, but other, valid entries are retained and saved correctly. If you leave a field with an invalid parameter, the last valid parameter is restored instead. |
