If you installed the 2D-LC
Add-on, the 2D-LC method configuration is
available that includes several specific functions. See 2D-LC
help for
details.
Processing methods are used in the Data Analysis context. They contain the information and parameters needed to process the data and generate results:
General:
Under Properties in the Info tab, you provide a method description, and view general information on the processing method such as the file location, version, creation date, or modification date. If the project enforces method approval, you set the method status for master methods.
Under Properties in the Global tab, you can switch between the ChemStation or EZChrom integrator.
Under Signals in the Scaling tab, you specify a fixed scaling for the Chromatograms window.
Under Signals in the Alignment tab, you adjust the delay of specific detectors in order to align their signals in the Chromatograms window.
Under Signals in the Smoothing tab, you define how the signals will be smoothed upon reprocessing.
Under Signals in the Blank Subtraction tab, you specify how the signals of blank runs will be subtracted from the signals of sample runs.
Under Signals in the Reference Chromatogram tab, you add reference chromatograms to your method or remove them from the method.
Extraction:
Under Extraction you specify the parameters for extracted chromatograms (Extracted Ion Chromatograms (EICs), Extracted UV wavelength chromatogram) and extracted spectra (Mass Spectra and UV spectra).
MS Sample Purity:
Set the parameters to calculate the MS sample purity.
Integration Events
Configure integration events as required for your analysis.
Check manual integration corrections that you saved in the processing method (see Apply manual integration corrections to other injections).
Compounds:
Spectral Analysis:
Under MS Library Search you specify the parameters for an MS Library search.
System Suitability:
Check System Suitability values or Override column parameters .
Tools:
Reports:
Under Injection Report you specify the Report template and Report destination that will be used to create injection reports.
In the left part of the Processing Method window, the method name and a navigation to the different method sections are shown. Adjacent to the method name, a link symbol shows if this method is linked to an injection:
: This processing method is linked to the focused
injection.
: This processing method is
not linked to the focused
injection.
It is possible to work with empty or incomplete processing methods, but a method must be saved at least once before you can link it to certain data. When linking data to a processing method, the data is reprocessed automatically.
Different symbols may be shown next to the processing method in the navigation pane. For details, see Method selector.
To be able to access a specific section of the processing method, you need the corresponding Processing Method privilege (for example, Processing Method > Edit integration parameters). Privileges are configured in the Control Panel. |
